I’m Jamica El and muvaboard is my art and research practice.
Feeling pigeonholed by the corporate world, in 2018 muvaboard launched as a boutique digital consulting practice. Since then, we’ve consulted with brands, institutions, and founders building campaigns, strategies, and publications spreading their impact far and wide.
Today, muvaboard produces original research and experiences born from my deep inquiry of the conditions that shape Black American experiences, creativity, and futures.

WHY?
There is power in the stories that emerge from data and research.
At muvaboard, I create research-driven art, strategy, and experiences that explore the cultural, spatial, and economic conditions shaping Black American life and creativity.
What began in 2018 as a boutique digital consulting practice has grown into a multidisciplinary studio where I blend speculative design, cultural research, and narrative strategy.
I’ve worked across tech, media, nonprofit, and art building digital ecosystems that shape narratives of repair, liberation, and cooperative economics.
Today, muvaboard produces original research, immersive installations, campaigns, and published tools that expand how we understand place, power, and possibility.
You work with muvaboard when you want to translate complex ideas into compelling environments, campaigns, or cultural strategies. I design future-facing installations, develop narrative frameworks, build digital and physical experiences. I publish research that moves audiences from passive consumption to active reflection. Whether collaborating with a brand, institution, or creative team, I help shape ideas into forms people can see, feel, and inhabit.
